ABOUT THE ROLE

Meertens is seeking a Manager to manage a portfolio of appointments and provide leadership and guidance to the reporting up team. As Manager, you will, amongst other things:

• Anticipate the strategic direction of insolvency files under your management and instruct your reporting team members on the completion of these files.
• Consider and propose solutions on technical and commercial matters that arise on the insolvency files for discussion with the Appointee.
• Take the lead on investigations and draft work papers for internal dissemination and briefing lawyers.
• Manage the trading activities of businesses and oversee the production of cash flow forecasts and other financial reporting.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a self-starter, adaptable and have an eye for detail.
You will possess an ease with people, a comprehensive knowledge of the corporate insolvency legislation and a strong insolvency accounting background, including a familiarity with posting journals.

WHAT IS REQUIRED

• A University undergraduate degree in Accounting or in Business with an accounting major.
• Ideally CPA/CA completed or near completion.
• Demonstrated team leadership skills.
• A strong personal brand.
